Followed by this, he did his serving in the Navy SEALs for ten years and five tours of duty reaching the rank of lieutenant commander. Unfortunately, during his deployment in Afghanistan, he lost his right eye in the year 2012. It was during his third deployment in Afghanistan’s Helmand province where he was hit by an IED explosion. This blast destroyed both of his eyes but due to surgery, it saved the vision on his left eye. Followed by this, for four years after the injury, he remained in the Navy serving his fourth and fifth tours of duty in South Korea and Bahrain.
