Became the starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys as a rookie in 2016 after an injury to Tony Romo. He was named AP Offensive Rookie of the Year after throwing for 23 touchdowns and just 4 interceptions while leading the Cowboys to a 13-3 record in 2016. After an ankle injury during the 2020 season, he became a free agent.

Before Fame

He was a standout duel threat quarterback during his time at Haughton High School. He played college football at Mississippi State University, where he won the Conerly Trophy as the best player in the state of Mississippi in both 2014 and 2015. 

Trivia

He was selected in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Cowboys. He was one of only three rookies, alongside Tyreek Hill and his teammate Ezekiel Elliot, to be named to the 2016-17 Pro Bowl.

He was born to Peggy and Nathaniel Prescott. He was raised alongside four siblings named Jace, Tad, Natalie, and Elliott.
